Brachioplasty

Brachioplasty is better known as an “arm lift.” The purpose of an arm lift is to improve the shape and contour of your upper arms and the area that connects to the chest wall. Having saggy or flabby arms, which some people call “bat wings,” is typically the result of natural changes that occur as we age. We tend to lose muscle tissue and gain body fat. Simply being overweight can also cause flabby arms.

Dr. Crichlow can remove excess fat or use liposuction to remove fat from the elbow to the underarm and create a tighter, more attractive look for your upper arms. In most cases, you will need a few weeks to recover and heal from brachioplasty. Expect at least one or two weeks before you can return to work and about ten days before you can safely drive.
